Dr Goodchild is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist. He practices at The London Clinic in Marylebone as well as at The Royal London Hospital. He specialises in gastroenterology, including diagnosis, assessment and treatment of abdominal pain, acid reflux, malabsorption, bowel habit changes, rectal bleeding and pancreatic disorders including cancer.
Dr Goodchild practices advanced endoscopy, performing diagnostic gastroscopy and colonoscopy as well as complex and therapeutic procedures including ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound and removal of bowel/colonic polyps. He is an accredited UK bowel cancer screening colonoscopist, providing high levels of patient comfort and expert assessment.
Dr Goodchild publishes research in gastroenterology and endoscopy. He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary medical school and is actively involved in teaching and training both undergraduate and postgraduate doctors.
